What is a motorcycle track day? How long does it take to run a motorcycle track? Attend any track day and you’ll often find a few riders milling aroun just watching the action. Many of them are looking nervously at the bikes flying past on track , wondering if, maybe, it’s for them.
Too often they decide it’s not. It really doesn’t matter what you ride, or how you ride it, a track day will help you improve your skills on the road as you can learn just how hard you can brake – and accelerate – in the relatively.
If you never been to a track day before then let us help you through a typical track day , but let’s start with the prep and what not to forget. A typical track day will start with rider registration at around 7:30-8:, where your motorcycle licence will be checked (don’t forget it, refer to the checklist below!), an indemnity form will need to be signe and then you’ll receive a bike sticker and wristband. Then it’s off to noise testing. Most motorcycle track days run in groups, where riders are split into beginner, intermediate and advanced ability and will take turns out on the track, usually in one to 20-minute session per hour for each group. Circuit marshals monitor the events to ensure everyone on track is kept as safe as possible.

However, if what you have is a liter bike , don’t shy away from a track day.
